Programmes & Eligibility
  • DHITM offers the following 4-year (8 semester) programmes:

    • B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) — 120 seats
    • B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (AI & ML) — 60 seats
    • B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering — 60 seats
    • B.Tech in Civil Engineering — 60 seats
    • B.Tech in Electrical Engineering — 60 seats
    • Bachelor in Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHM / BHMT) — 120 seats

    All programmes follow MAKAUT curriculum and the intake capacity is based on the latest approvals for the academic session.

  • For admission to B.Tech (all branches):

    • Must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
    • Minimum aggregate marks: generally 50% for General category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC (as per current norms).
    • Should meet additional eligibility criteria prescribed by WBJEE / MAKAUT / State Government from time to time.

    Exact percentage, relaxation and reservation rules will follow the latest Government and MAKAUT guidelines and will be mentioned in the updated prospectus / admission notice.

  • For BHM / BHMT at DHITM, a candidate should:

    • Have passed 10+2 in any stream (Science / Commerce / Arts).
    • Typically secure at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories, subject to current rules).

    Since hospitality is a service-oriented field, good communication skills and a positive attitude are highly desirable.

Admission Process
  • B.Tech admissions are primarily done through WBJEE counselling as per Government of West Bengal and MAKAUT regulations. Typically, the steps are:

    • Appear in the WBJEE examination.
    • Participate in centralised counselling and choose DHITM as a preferred institute.
    • Based on rank, category, and seat availability, allotment will be made.

    If any seats remain vacant after centralised counselling, the institute may conduct spot / direct admission strictly following the latest guidelines of AICTE, MAKAUT and the State Government.

  • For BHM / BHMT, candidates generally apply directly to DHITM through the online enquiry / application form available on the official website or via offline form at the campus/admission office. Shortlisted candidates may be called for counselling / interaction.

Fees, Scholarships & Education Loan
  • As per recent information, the approximate first-year fees are:

    • B.Tech programmes – around ₹1,00,000 per year
    • BHM / BHMT – around ₹80,000 per year

    Detailed break-up (tuition, exam, hostel, caution deposit, etc.) and any revised fees for 2026–27 will be clearly mentioned in the official fee-structure notification on the DHITM website and prospectus.
